  • Hello Friends and Familes,

This morning has been an early morning. I haveent yet to do my devotions, but i will soon enough.

Last week i was gone oue of the country..well not that far out..lol. I was in Quebec Canada. The 2007 Word of Life Missions Reality Team had a life changing experiance in Quebec. The Lord really works in many ways; i had planned to go to Santiago, Chile ofr the Sports International for the substitue of Missions Reality and te Lord saw fit that i didint go well, i was well on my way to do ing the Missions Reality OAE, and i was fine with that. The night before we were lieaving to go to our appropreate missions trips i was called to be ask to change for differnt situations and i wanted to be flixable so i did. The change was the Quebec trip.

I will be honest i wasnt really connecting with the trip, meaning i reall didnt want to go. It was Cananda...it speaks for its self. Bu ti was Challenged by my leader; Rick Darnell, to open my heart and to let God use me in and every way, to understand that the trip chose me and accept that, to ask for a change of heart and focus, to ask for a desire to serve in every way possible. So I prayed, because if you dont know me, how i feel is easily expressed, not in words but in action and i didnt want to hinder Gods work on the trip so i figured it would be the best thing to get on board. After Ti Smith and i prayed together we just talked about spiritual things and personal issues in life and where the Lord was leading us...and might i say it was an amazing time. That night it was Friday 13th we were lodged in a Hostle in Montreal. What a beautiful city. I had no idea it would look that nice...nicer than NYC i think, but anyways we stayed there and we just go relaxed form a long drive up to more cold weather...lol...as if we didnt have enough....

The next morning Saturday, it was stilll cold and wet...well alittle..lol. We met up with Tony after family time. Oh boy, family time, what an experiance. It was fun really, we would collectively talk about our devotions and Rick would talk alitle....ok, "A LOT"!!!...lol. But what a godly man that fears God and i have grown to respect. The again Tony and street Evangalist...in the flesh. I dont believe I have seen a street evangalist as i have seen Tony. This was a man that canme from a background of pleaseing self, serching for answers to life, feed the the flesh, and then God got ahold of his heart. Tony has a real heart and passion to see the pople of Montreal to come to know Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. That morning Tony gave us the low-down  or the 411 about the culture and about the way people respond to the gospel. It was very interesting becasue i would always thing it would be a positive session...bu treally it was more the negetive. He talked about his testimony to the gospel which is carred to that of the people there in general, and it had seemed as thaough they didnt want the  gospel. Well, its to say my errigants go the best of me andi thought that there was no way people were really life that, cause in the South and Central American cutlres e would see many a people want tracks of the gospel and would fight to have it. Well, that afternoon was the day we try this evaglistice project. Tony had work with some guy that helped him produce track that were not gospel direct, meaning on th cover of the gosple track was; a qoute from the Rolling Stones, " I cant get no satisfaction", the question Satisfied?, pics of lips, money, cars, dimonds, and a martinie glass. The stratege is this, the people are so turned offf about the gosple, about the chruch, about the catholic chruch many of them, and dont want anything to do with either that if its obviose that we are bible thumpers we might lose the chanse to leae them with the gosple. So we head out and the team is on the move to evangalize. At first it was kinda annoying casuue i would look back  and we would all be clumped up like some cult and to me it was intemidating so i started walking off on my own liek an erriagnat guy and then Phil Matrin followed, and then so did Becky Miliron. We stop some place...lol..i dont know where, anyways we begain to ive out the gospel tracks. For the most part it wasnt so bad for me to hand them out, it was my first OAE experiance in awhile...buck in the day i would do the knocking on doors with my church so i guess i had some experiance. But then there were few that didnt like me to much, once i had givea track to theis buiness man that was in a sharp suite and i turned away to talk to Phil well Phil gives me the heads up and i turn back to my left and the buiness man was stroming twoards me, he trows the track at me and say, "Im an Atheist, I dont need this". And all i have to say was OHH!!!...Ohh!!...what in the would, all that i have been tought to try to counter such a frase and i say ohh. Well ha walks off and my PARTNERS are stuck laughing a tme for just saying ohh. In myshame i gathered my self together and went back into it. It was amazing....thought i might use it atleast once...lol We as a the three of us were able to distribute over 500 gospel tracks. It was fun. Well that was the firt night...more to come soon.

    Well the rest....

Through our time there we were getting familiar to the culture one that is so different that the ones I had experienced in my life. When we went out to Minster in churches and it was exciting cause we didn’t just do all that was there but work along side those leaders. The first church we went to was Tony’s friend’s church and it was pretty sweet. I played soccer the whole time excite when I was singing…lol. Really all we were expected to do was to mingle with the youth group and show Christ in our attitudes. It was great, then that evening we went back to the Hostel to rest and chill. The next couple of days we spent in Bethel to join up with the French specking Bible Institute. It was beautiful up there; the mountains were a sight to see. We enjoyed our little French 101 class and just fellowshipping with the other believers form that campus. We did a lot of sing in the churches and ministry. After a couple of days we went to old Quebec where we toured for the day well, I was in a in a tour group with Ti Smith, Jess Fisher, and Mark Fisher. We head headed around to tour all over the Old Quebec area. We had so much fun bonding and just hanging out together, really before that I had never hung out with those guys and I don’t know why I didn’t. They were great guys. I had a bouncy ball that kept getting us in trouble, like almost killed three times, but it was all in the mane of fun. Towards the end of the night we decided to eat dinner a Mcdodo “McDonalds”. When we finished I felt that we needed to share the gospel to at least one person that night and that we should work to be able to present the gospel in its entirety. The guys agreed and we prayed, “Lord we come to you as servants and ambassadors in Christ, we pray that you would supply one person that  comes in our way that we can express your truths to them. With in all our fun and goofy behavior let us not forget that we a re alive to proclaim Christ, let us be aware and ready. Amen.” Ok it was something like that. I think it was a bit longer…I don’t remember. Well, went out to finish our fun, but in it all I think we were all looking for that person, cause we would see a person and be like, “ no. not that one….no not that one and so on”. Twenty minutes before we had to be back to the docks to load up on the bus we decided to walk more to wait time. We came to a glass structured building and chilled. The whole time we looked back on our day and all the things we did and a bit of each of our testimonies regarding drinking… how we got there I don’t know. But we were there. Then we were watching four guys doing bike tricks at the bottom of the steps and then they had sat down for a while. Ti said, “Hey they’ve been sitting for a while I fell we need to talk to them.” Ti Lead and we fallowed. We started talking to these guys who we found were brothers that were older 18 and up and one was bi-lingual and we were able to talk to him Marcus and Oliver. I began talking to Marcus and found that he was a member of the Canadian Army Reserve as a sweeper (one who discharges bombs) and was scheduled to be deployed in June next month. I lead our conversation with, what is your purpose in life? He looked at me with a blank stares and confusion, he didn’t try to make something up as his brothers were there, he really didn’t know. The I said. “better yet if your commanding officer had a mission for you to discharge a bomb and something went terribly wrong where would you go, heaven of hell?” Again Marcus didn’t have an answer then he said I have never thought of that before. Then Ti jumped in with loads of the Gospel and scriptures and I knew the Holy Sprit was there with us because it was like dialog the ultimate, like when Ti would get caught up in words I was there without hesitation to fill in the gap and he was there for me. The twins were looking cool behind us and it made me laugh occasionally because I would look back and they would give the thumbs up or a smile. The Lord was working that night, we were blessed beyond expectations we were looking for only one person and we got four that were interested and seeking belonging and faith. God was amazing. Really that was the highlight of the trip and everything else was icing on the cake. God is working in Quebec and will not stop till he is ready. I pray that there will be people that can minister to such a needy culture.

    God Bless,
